Upgraded Vapor Degreaser

Out with the old, in with the new: removing our old vapor degreaser and installing the upgraded unit.

In July 2025, we replaced our older vapor degreaser with a new unit that improves capacity, consistency, and efficiency for our NDT operations.

Clean parts are essential to reliable inspection results. Oils, grease, and other contaminants can mask surface discontinuities during penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, and residual inspection materials need to be removed before parts return to our customers. Our vapor degreaser handles both pre-inspection and post-inspection cleaning.

What's new:

• 50% more capacity per cycle. The new degreaser holds three baskets at a time instead of two, so we can process more parts in each run.

• Longer-lasting solvent. The new system uses a different solvent designed for extended service life, which means more consistent cleaning results and less solvent waste.

• Lower operating temperature. The unit runs cooler than our previous equipment, improving energy efficiency and the working environment for our team.

• Improved vapor control. A fully functioning refrigeration system keeps solvent vapor contained in the unit, reducing solvent loss and emissions.

This upgrade helps us keep parts moving through inspection efficiently, with parts properly cleaned before and after inspection as required.
